Abseiling (risk assesment)
Our outdoor tower can accommodate 12 people in an hour, 1 at a time.
There is seating for spectators.
If you wish to use your own instructors then 1 Scout Climbing Permit holder must present their certificate at the office prior to using the tower

Archery (risk assesment)
The outdoor archery range can accommodate up to four archers at one time and has seating for a further 20.
Max group size 24 per hour.
Archery club runs from 7pm-8.30pm.
If you wish to use your own instructor, a current GNAS certificate must be presented at the office prior to seeing the range.

Assault Course (risk assesment) This course is fun and safe for all ages.
Ongoing time records are kept and awards made for the fastest time of the week during the summer weeks.

Bouncy Castle (risk assesment)
Our big fun bouncy castle can be hired by the hour or by the day for fun days and events.

Caving Climb Experience (risk assesment)
Climb the caving ladder, and ascend the rope.
Experience the climbing techniques used in caving.
Great fun for all ages

NEW   Caving Simulator (risk assesment)
Suitable for beavers upwards.
£15 per hour
A small series of tunnels through a wooden structure. Easy release roof makes rescuing nervous participants quick and simple.
Maximum group size 20 per hour

Circus Skills
We have a selection of circus skills equipment for hire.
The pack includes stilts, Diablo and juggling balls.

Climbing Wall (Indoor) (risk assesment)
The climbing wall is located in the Upper Hall and provides challenges for all ages and abilities.
We recommend a maximum of 12 people per hour.
If you wish to use your own instructor, the appropriate authorisation forms must be presented to the office, prior to using the wall.

Climbing Wall (Outdoor) (risk assesment)

Like our indoor version but with 4 people at a time

Crate Stacking (8 person) (risk assesment)
Located in our upper hall, this new activity is great fun for all ages.
With up to 8 people involved at any one time it provides excellent team building facilities.
Stand on the crates and stack them up.
Your challenge is to touch the ceiling without the stack falling.

Games Equipment
We have a range of games equipment including badminton courts, volleyball courts, footballs and softball.

Gatt Guns (risk assesment)
These cork guns are fun for all ages. Firing at tin cans this is a self supervised activity.

High all aboard (risk assesment)
Suitable for cubs upwards
Teams of 4 climb the pole and stand on the small platform at the top

Hikes
We can supply instructor led hikes through Hockley Woods.

Jacobs ladder (risk assesment)
Suitable for scouts upwards
Teams of 4 climb the giant ladder, good for teamwork.

Laser Guns
We have a large number of Laser guns and various games that can be played.

Leap of faith (risk assesment)
Suitable for cubs upwards
Climb the pole stand on the platform and jump for the trapeze

Orienteering (risk assesment)
We have three levels of course using our Ordnance Survey orienteering maps.
The pack contains instructions and loan of a map and compass.

Pedal Karts (risk assesment)
We have four pedal karts for use on our karting circuit.
This activity is great fun - hold your own mini grand prix or time trials.

Pioneering (risk assesment)
We have a large number of poles and equipment available.
We also have project cards and can provide instruction if required.
Pioneering is available to hire for half day sessions.
We can also provide an instructor to help lead your project.

NEW   Pole Joust (risk assesment)
Suitable for beavers upwards.
Knock each other off the pole on to the bouncy castle.

Our rifle range has room for four people to shoot with additional seating for a further 20.
Max group size 24 per hour.
It is the group leaders responsibility to ensure that their group has the appropriate parental permission to take part in this activity.
If you wish to use your own instructors a current NSRA certificate must be presented at the office prior to using the range.

Splash Pool (risk assesment)
Available May to September, 10 foot diameter, 1.5 foot deep big paddling pool, ideal for those hot summer days.

Table Tennis
We have three tables for hire including all the equipment to enable up to 12 people to play at once.

Team Building (risk assesment)
We have a range of team building exercises that can be tailored to the age range of your group from 6 to 60!
All fun and challenging they can really help develop teamwork.

Trampolines (risk assesment)
2 x 14 foot diameter trampolines, complete with safety netting around the sides provide fun for all ages.

Traversing elements (risk assesment)
Suitable for cubs upwards
Go up the beam, up the pole, across the wire, up the pole and back along using the hanging vines.

Traversing wall (risk assesment)
Our new traversing wall brings climbing to everyone.
Climb horizontally rather than vertically.
From easy for Beavers and Cubs, take out a few holds for Scouts and even more and becomes challenging and testing for Explorers and Network.
This indoor activity is suitable for any time of year

Wide Games
There is ample room in the wooded area for wide games and for the more adventurous Hockley Woods has 360 acres of public woodland.
Wide Game instructions can be purchased from the office and instructors can be provided to lead a wide game for you.
