Our .177 Air Rifles and Pistols are great fun to shoot, this session is supervised by a qualified NSRA instructor, or if you have your own instructors with their NSRA you may book it as own instructor. A parental consent form is required for any participants under 18, click here to download the form.

Archery (Risk assesment)
Archery is a great activity for anyone aged 6 or above. Our indoor range is great for beginners, or anyone just wanting to have a shoot. This session is supervised by a qualified GNAS instructor, or if you have a GNAS instuctor of your own, you can book the session as own instructor.

Climbing (indoors) (Risk assesment)
Our indoor climbing wall boasts 3 ropes with many different routes. Climbing is an incredibly fun activity and can test your fears and push your abilities. This session is supervised by a qualified climbing instructor, or if you have your own climbing instructor you may book the session as own instructor.

Our outdoor climbing tower consists of 1 rope with many screw in holds placed up the wall, to create fun and interesting routes for all ages and abilities. This session is supervised by a qualified climbing instructor, or if you have your own climbing instructor you may book the session as own instructor.

Abseiling (Risk assesment)
Abseiling is a very adventurous activity which involves going up to the top of our outdoor climbing tower, and then lowering yourself down the wall using abseiling equipment. This activity is great for getting over fears, and for building trust. This session is supervised by a qualified climbing instructor, or if you have your own climbing instructor you may book the session as own instructor.

Wobbly Pole Climb (Risk assesment)
This is a new activity for 2012. This involves the participants climbing up a massive wobbly pole with rock climbing holds attached to it. This activity is great fun and is located in the upper hall.
This session is supervised by a qualified climbing instructor. Unfortunately we do not offer an own instructor option on this activity.

Jacobs Ladder (High Ropes) (Risk assesment)
Jacobs Ladder is part of our High Ropes course. This involves teams of up to 4 people climbing up a giant ladder, with the spaces inbetween the rungs getting bigger at each stage. This is a great activity for improving teamwork skills, and is great fun. This session is supervised by one of our site specific high ropes instructors.

Traversing Elements (High Ropes) (Risk assesment)
Traversing Elements involves participants going one at a time across each of the three traversing elements on the high ropes. They first go up the balance beam, then climb up another level to the postmans walk. After the postmans walk, they go up another level and must go across the last rope holding on to the dangling vines. This session is supervised by one of our site specific high ropes instructors.

High All Aboard (High Ropes) (Risk assesment)
The high all aboard involves four participants climbing up onto the birds nest at the top of a pole using the metal and wooden holds. Once all of the participants are at the top, they all hold hands facing each other in a circle and lean back. This is a great activity for building trust. This session is supervised by one of our site specific high ropes instructors.

Crate Stacking (High Ropes) (Risk assesment)
This is a great team building activity, and is suitable for many ages. It involves up to 4 participants standing on up to 4 towers of crates. They have to work together to build up levels and get as high as possible. This session is supervised by one of our site specific high ropes instructors.

Leap Of Faith (High Ropes) (Risk assesment)
The Leap of Faith involves climbing up to the birds nest pole (up to 2 people at a time) and jumping for the trapeze which is positioned about a metre and a half away from the birds nest. This activity is great for overcoming fears. This session is supervised by one of our site specific high ropes instructors.

Fencing (Risk assesment)
Learn the basics of Fencing, and duel each other in this fun and interesting activity. Within the session, the participants will learn all of the important moves such as lunge, parry and reposte, then once they have learnt some of the skills they can enjoy duels with each other. This is a great activity and is located in our upper hall. This session is supervised by one of our instructors.

Water Zorbs (Risk assesment)
New for 2012, the water zorbs involve participants going into giant hamster balls, and then going onto the water and running about. This is a great activity for all ages, and is very energetic.
This activity is supervised by one of our instructors. This activity is available between 1st April-15th November only.

Rope Climbing (Risk assesment)
Climbing up ropes using ascenders, or just your bare hands. This is a great competitive activity. This is supervised by one of our instructors.

Ladder Challenge (Risk assesment)
This involves two ladders hanging from the ceiling of the upper hall. Participants must race each other to the top of the ladders, the one who reaches the top first wins. This is supervised by one of our instructors.

Hike (Risk assesment)
An instructor-led hike around Hockley Woods. Instuctors will guide you around a route which should take around an hour and a half to complete.
Fire Lighting (Risk assesment)
This activity teaches participants how to make a fire using many different methods, including using a flint steel and cotton wool. They then split into groups to see who can make the best fire. This activity is instructor led.

Team Building (Risk assesment)
Many different team building activities packed into one hour. An instructor will give the instuctions and the group must work together to complete the tasks. This is great for boosting confidence and communication skills in a group. It is also great for getting people used to working in a team. This activity must be supervised by one of our instructors.

Pedal Karts (Risk assesment)
Ride around on our specifically made track on our pedal karts! Race each other round the track to see who is the fastest. This activity can be self or site instructed.

Bungee Run (inflatable) (Risk assesment)
The bungee run involves two participants getting strapped into a bungee cord at the end of the inflatable, they must try to run as far down the track without getting pinged back.

Pole Joust (inflatable) (Risk assesment)
Two participants must sit on top of a pole facing each other, then must try and knock each other off using the foam "shield and sword".

Demolition Derby (inflatable) (Risk assesment)
The demolition derby involves four participants standing on top of a podium and they must try and knock each other off using the foam demolition ball in the middle.

Geocaching (Risk assesment on site) (Risk assesment off site)
Geocaching involves using a GPS to locate markers around the site. We also offer an off site version, where participants go to find the markers in Hockley woods.

Laser Guns (Risk assesment)
Go and play a game of laser tag in the bluebell woods on site. You can split into two teams and play many different types of games around the woods.

Have a go at many different types of circus skills such as spinning plates, diablo, poi etc.

Push Ball (Risk assesment)
A giant inflatable ball for groups to play many different games with. We can provide a list of games or you can use a site instructor.

Assault Course (Risk assesment)
Run through our exciting assault course and its many obstacles. This activity is fun for all ages, and is one of our most popular activities. This can be instructed by us, or self instructed.

Traversing Wall (Risk assesment)
Our traversing wall involves climbing around the wall sideways, instead of upwards. This is great for kids who want to climb but have a fear of heights.

Mini Crossbows (Risk assesment)
Try shooting targets with our mini crossbows. They use a sucker dart to stick to the targets at the end of the range. This is a great activity for kids who cannot do Air Rifles.

Cork Guns (Risk assesment)
Shoot down some cans using our cork guns. These guns are a great alternative to Air Rifles and are more suitable for younger children.

Rickshaws (Risk assesment)
The rickshaws are like a horse and chariot type of activity. One child sits in the seat, while the other pulls them along. Great for younger groups.

Have a go on our trampolines. We have two trampolines to use, each of these are 8ft in size.

Caving Simulator (Risk assesment)
Find your way through the maze of chambers in our caving simulator. This activity is great for groups of all ages.

Splash Pool (Risk assesment)
Take a dip in our new splash pool. We have updated the pool for 2012, and it is now a large 10 meter long, 5 meter wide, 1 meter deep pool. This activity is available between 1st April – 15th November only.

Pond Dipping (Risk assesment)
Try pond dipping in our new pond bursting with wildlife. This activity is very educational, and can teach kids the names of many different types of pond wildlife.

Work as a team to build a bridge across the stream. This activity is supervised by one of our own instructors.

Pioneering (Risk assesment)
Using just logs and knots, build some of the many traditional structures such as watch towers, rope bridges etc. This activity lasts 3 hours and can be done with your own instructor or one our instructors.
